UPDATES
This newsletter contains important information that was emailed to many people a couple of weeks ago and was posted on the web at that time. Several things did not get solved in time to be included in the last news letter.  I apologize for the late timing of this hard copy.

SPRING CLEAN UP
The Spring Cleanup pickup by Waste Management will be Friday, June 5.  Waste Management would like to start EARLY…so get your stuff out early or the day before.

Recycling
Yard waste is picked up on the alternate Monday of recycling items.  So one Monday it is Recycling and the next it is Yard Waste.  The Recycling dates (Not Yard Waste) are:
April 13, 27 May 11, 26
June 8, 22 July 6, 20
August 3, 17, 31 Sept 14, 28
Oct 12. 26 November 9, 23 December 7, 21

Local Area Con Artists
Recent incidents of persons posing as representatives of various businesses have been reported throughout the area. Residents have had large amounts of money or valuables stolen from their property. The SCAM artists are presenting themselves as: utility company employees, or as Fire Department Inspectors.
They usually work in pairs.  While one of the suspects keeps the residents busy in one location of the house, the other is stealing property. To avoid becoming a victim; Question everything, require photo I.D.’s and call the business before allowing entry. Fire Department Inspectors are always in uniform, with badge, and in marked fire department vehicles. Anyone with information can contact CRIME STOPPERS by: calling 1-888-636-9330

I NEED YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
You are getting this paper newsletter ... admittedly pretty late…because I do not have your email address or I do not have the correct email address.  If you have an email address or your kids have an email address you can use please send it to: dave@cattoi.net
We have about 75 families getting the newsletter electronically and they all have up to date information. Please put “Elmwood newsletter” as the subject.  Thanks.

The Village President Stands Strong
Audrey Viau, the village president, was able to get $192,000 in “Stimulus Money” to apply towards the Taylor Avenue project.  She worked very hard to keep this money from slipping away to other communities.  Audrey will provide us with Taylor Avenue Details as they happen.

Overgrown Trees and Shrubs
Waste Management is having difficulty manipulating their trucks in some areas due the size of trees and shrubs.  We need your cooperation in solving this problem.
